Frequently asked questions

Is the PDF an image of the sheet?

No. Each sheet is typeset as a real table of vector text, so the result is searchable, selectable and usually tens of kilobytes. Tools that screenshot the grid produce megabytes of unsearchable picture.

My sheet is very wide.

Anything wider than eight columns switches to landscape automatically, and cells that still do not fit are truncated with an ellipsis rather than overlapping. Past roughly fifteen columns a PDF is the wrong destination — export CSV instead.
