Frequently asked questions

Which symbologies can it read?

The in-page decoder reads QR codes, including the QR payloads printed on tickets, packaging and posters. Linear retail barcodes such as EAN-13 need a dedicated laser or a native camera app, which most phones already have built into the camera.

Why does my photo not decode?

Blur, glare at an angle, and a cropped quiet zone are the three usual causes. Fill more of the frame with the code, shoot square to it rather than at an angle, and make sure the blank margin around the pattern is intact.
