Sign a PDF — Draw, Type or Upload Your Signature

Draw your signature, drag it onto the page and save a signed PDF — without uploading anything.

To sign a PDF, draw your signature with a mouse or finger — or type your name and pick a script face — then drag it onto the page where it belongs and resize it until it looks right. The signature is drawn into the page content, so it cannot be moved or deleted in a reader. Everything happens in your browser: the contract and your signature are never uploaded, which is the whole reason to sign this way rather than emailing the document to a service.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a legally binding signature?

In most jurisdictions an image of your signature applied with clear intent is an electronic signature and is enforceable for ordinary agreements — that is what the eIDAS regulation calls a simple electronic signature and what the US ESIGN Act recognises. It is not a digital signature: there is no certificate, so it proves neither who applied it nor that the document is unaltered since. Where that matters — deeds, some property and court filings — you need a certificate-based signature from a qualified provider.

Can the signature be removed afterwards?

Not by dragging it off in a reader — it is drawn into the page content rather than added as an annotation, which is the difference between a signature and a sticker. Anyone with a PDF editor can still edit the page, exactly as they could with a scanned signature on paper.

Why does my drawn signature look better here than elsewhere?

The stroke thins as you move faster, the way a pen does. A constant-width line is what makes most mouse-drawn signatures look like a scribble rather than a signature.

Can I sign every page at once?

Yes. Place it once, position it, then use "Repeat on every page" — which is what initialling a multi-page contract needs.
