Browser Permissions Inspector — What Has This Site Been Granted?

Check the permission state of camera, microphone, location, notifications and more for this origin.

The Permissions API reports whether this origin has been granted, denied or not yet asked for each capability — camera, microphone, location, notifications, clipboard and more. Querying the state never triggers a prompt; only calling the underlying API does. Permissions are stored per site and revocable from the padlock icon in the address bar.

Frequently asked questions

Why does a permission say "Will ask" when I already allowed it?

Some grants are temporary — Firefox and Safari expire camera and microphone access when the tab closes unless you ticked "remember". A permission granted for one session legitimately returns to "prompt" afterwards.

A site says my camera is blocked but I never blocked it. Why?

Blocks can come from the OS rather than the browser: macOS and Windows both have a system-level camera privacy switch that denies every app. The browser reports "denied" without distinguishing which layer said no.
