PDF to DOCX Converter

Export PDF document content into 100% editable Microsoft Word DOCX format.

PDF to DOCX Converter rebuilds a PDF as a Microsoft Word (.docx) file in your browser. In Exact mode every line is placed at the coordinates it occupied in the PDF, at the same size, weight, slant and colour, with images carried across at their original position — and all of it stays real, editable Word text. Flowing mode rebuilds paragraphs and tables instead, so the document rewraps as you type. Nothing is uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

Is my confidential PDF uploaded to a server?

No. The PDF is parsed and the Word file is built entirely in your browser, which is the reason to use this on a contract or a payslip rather than an upload-based converter.

What is the difference between Exact and Flowing?

Exact pins every line to the position it held in the PDF, so the document opens looking like the original and each line is its own positioned block. Flowing throws that geometry away and rebuilds paragraphs and tables, so text rewraps naturally as you type but the layout is an approximation. Pick Exact to read and make small edits; pick Flowing to rewrite.

Why do some lines, borders or logos go missing?

Anything the PDF draws as vector artwork — rules, table borders, logos, charts — has no equivalent that Word can hold as an editable shape, so it is not carried over. Photographs and other raster images are. The conversion tells you how many drawing operations were left behind rather than letting you discover it later.

Are the fonts identical?

The font is matched to the closest one Word is likely to have installed, and the size, weight, slant, colour and per-character spacing are preserved so lines still occupy the width they did in the PDF. The embedded font file itself is not extracted, so a document using an unusual typeface will render in a substitute.

It looks right but editing pushes things around.

That is the cost of exact positioning: each line is an independently placed block, so adding text extends that block rather than reflowing the page. If you intend to rewrite the document rather than touch it up, convert again in Flowing mode.
