GST Calculator — Add or Remove GST at Any Rate
Add GST to a price or work backwards from a GST-inclusive total, with the CGST/SGST split.
To add GST, multiply the amount by 1 plus the rate — ₹1,000 at 18% becomes ₹1,180. To remove GST from an inclusive total, divide by that same figure: ₹1,180 ÷ 1.18 = ₹1,000. Subtracting 18% from the inclusive total gives ₹967.60, which is wrong by ₹32.40 and is the most common error in this calculation.
