Frequently asked questions

Why do the years-and-months figures not match days divided by 365?

Because months have different lengths. Calendar arithmetic counts real months, so 1 January to 1 March is exactly two months regardless of whether February had 28 or 29 days — dividing by an average never gives a clean answer.
