Can I open a DOCX or XLSX file with this?

Yes. Every modern Office file is a ZIP archive of XML parts, so extracting one shows you word/document.xml, the embedded images in word/media/ and the relationship files. It is the quickest way to pull the original full-resolution images out of a document.

Why will my archive not open?

Three common causes: it is password-protected, which browsers cannot decrypt; it is a RAR or 7z file with a misleading .zip extension; or the download was truncated. The tool distinguishes these where it can rather than reporting a generic failure.

Is there a file size limit?

Only your available memory — the archive is decompressed in the page, so a 2 GB archive needs roughly that much RAM. Filtering to specific paths before extracting keeps large archives manageable.
