Frequently asked questions

Can I paste straight from Excel or Google Sheets?

Yes. Spreadsheets copy as tab-separated values, which is detected automatically — no need to export a file or change the delimiter first.

Why are numbers right-aligned automatically?

Because it lines the digits up by place value, which is how numeric columns are meant to read. A column detected as entirely numeric gets the right-align marker; text columns stay left.
