PDF to Excel Converter

Extract real tables from a PDF into an Excel workbook — columns detected, numbers kept numeric.

PDF to Excel Converter runs entirely in your browser. The PDF is parsed on your own device with pdf.js, its paragraphs, headings and tables are recovered from the text layer and written into a genuine XLSX file. Nothing is uploaded, which is the reason to use this on a contract, a payslip or a medical letter.

Frequently asked questions

How does it know where the columns are?

A PDF has no table structure — only text at coordinates. The tool looks for horizontal gaps that repeat at the same position across several consecutive rows, which is exactly what a table produces and what a paragraph does not. Columns confirmed by most of the rows become real cells.

Why are my numbers stored as text elsewhere but not here?

Because a cell that is entirely numeric is written as a number rather than a string. That is the difference between a workbook you can SUM and one where every formula returns zero.

It found no tables in my document.

Then the text does not line up in columns — the document is prose, or the "table" is an image. PDF to Text or PDF to Word will serve you better.
