My images and web fonts are missing.

The renderer is sandboxed — the markup is rasterised inside a data URL, which by design cannot fetch anything from the network. Inline your CSS in a <style> block and embed images as data URIs and they will appear. That restriction is also what guarantees nothing about your page is sent anywhere.
