## FAQ

### Is a feature graphic mandatory on Google Play?

Yes. A listing cannot be published without one, even if the app is not being promoted — Play uses it as the header image and in the video player background. It is the only asset besides the icon that Play refuses to publish without.

### Why does my text get cut off on some devices?

Play crops the graphic differently across surfaces and overlays the play button in the centre when a promo video exists. Keep text well inside the middle 80% and avoid putting anything critical dead-centre.

### Can the feature graphic contain a screenshot?

It can, but Play's own guidance discourages device frames and screenshots here — the graphic is scaled down heavily in some placements and UI detail becomes unreadable. A logo, short phrase and strong background survives the downscale.
