# Duplicate Pages in a PDF

> Repeat chosen pages any number of times — for labels, tickets, forms or handouts.

To duplicate pages in a PDF, choose which pages and how many copies of each. Copies can follow the original, be appended at the end, or replace the document entirely — useful for printing a sheet of identical tickets, labels or forms from a single-page master.

## How to duplicate a page in a PDF

1. Add the PDF. Everything runs in your browser, so a signed contract or an ID scan never leaves the machine.
2. Type the pages to repeat. `3` for a single page, `1, 4` for two, `2-5` for a run. Leave the field empty to repeat every page.
3. Set the **total** number of copies. `2` means the page ends up appearing twice altogether, not three times.
4. Pick an arrangement, then download.

## The three arrangements

| Arrangement | Result | Use it for |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Copies follow the original | 1, 2, 2, 2, 3 | A form that needs several identical pages in place, or a collated handout. |
| All copies appended | 1, 2, 3, 2, 2 | Keeping the document intact and putting the spares at the back. |
| Only the duplicated pages | 2, 2, 2 | Printing a sheet of identical tickets, labels or raffle stubs from a one-page master. |

*Duplicating page 2 of a three-page document with three copies of it.*

The third mode is the one people usually want and rarely find. It discards the source document entirely and returns just the repeated page, which is what you feed a printer when the master is a single ticket and you need forty of them on paper.

> **Duplicating a page that has form fields** — Fillable fields are identified by name, and the copies inherit the names of the originals. Most viewers treat identically named fields as one field, so typing an answer into the third copy fills all of them at once. If each copy needs its own answers, [flatten the form](https://convertto.tech/t/flatten-pdf) before duplicating so the fields become static content.

## A note on page numbers

Duplicating pages changes the physical order but not anything printed on the page. A page that reads "Page 2 of 3" in its footer still reads that on every copy, because the footer is drawn content rather than a counter. If the numbering has to be right, renumber before duplicating, or use [add page numbers](https://convertto.tech/t/add-page-numbers-pdf) on the finished file.

## How to use

1. Select your pdf file — the file stays on your device and is never uploaded.
2. Enter or paste your pages to duplicate.
3. Set the total copies of each.
4. Choose the arrangement.
5. Press Run, then download the result when it is ready.

## FAQ

### Does duplicating a page double the file size?

No. Duplicated pages reference the same embedded fonts and images, so 100 copies of a page add page objects but not 100 copies of the artwork. A one-page flyer repeated 50 times typically grows by a few kilobytes, not fifty times.
